Deputy Chair of the Polish Agency for Audit Oversight since 1 September 2024.
A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, he also completed postgraduate studies in International Banking and Finance at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.
From 2008 to 2011, he served as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Finance and Chief Public Finance Discipline Spokesperson. During this period, he was also Chairman of the Ministry’s IT Council and Audit Committee, as well as Chairman of the Audit Oversight Commission. Until 2011, he was a member of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (PFSA) and Chairman of the Council of the Bank Guarantee Fund (BGF).
A manager with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. Among other positions, he served as Vice President and President of the Management Board of Bank Ochrony Środowiska S.A. (2014–2016), President of the Management Board of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (2011–2013), Director of the Internal Audit Department at the National Bank of Poland, and a member of the Internal Auditors Committee (IAC) of the European Central Bank (2002–2008). He has also served as an independent member of supervisory boards and audit committees of listed companies.
He is the author and co-author of numerous publications, including books, on banking law, banking supervision, financial services regulation, and European integration. A long-standing academic lecturer, he served as President of the Institute of Internal Auditors Poland (IIA Poland) and President of the European Association of Public Banks (EAPB).
